A life-long friend of mine lives in Equality, Alabama with his wife. He’s got a beautiful home on Lake Martin. Last time I visited I was amazed at a swarm of hummingbirds around his feeders. It wasn’t just three or four, but dozens. The airspace was full.
His current wife happens to be his second. I adore her and she taught my son to be comfortable on the water. She just had a way with him. This is in no way a slight to her, but his first wife, who sadly passed away due to cancer, was a true Southern Belle and I also have fond memories of her, too. This piece is for her, a Southern Star.
